The Morse code is a little Latin or the Greek of telecommunications. The Morse code is a little Latin or the Greek of telecommunications.

Considered by the majority an archaism, it is however always used by the radio amateurs, in the navy and aviation. For you to convince some, you have only with synthoniser a receiver of short waves. You will suspect however that many the transmissions are the fact of software of Morse translation.

Under Windows, Code Morse and PileUp seem also effective but with a different approach.

Lastly, you will find under " Morse Codes and the Phonetic Alphabets" Alpha Cheer Charlie Delta Echo... and their alternatives for various countries. It is easier to learn and very useful when the line is bad. They are "augmenteurs of redundancy"; in data-processing language, one would call them robust protocols of transmission.
