On the occasion of World Environment Day celebrated on June 5, 2009, a film entitled Home was released in more than 100 countries around the world (trailer and film in its entirety)
"We live in a crucial time. Scientists tell us we have 10 years to change our lifestyles, avoid depleting natural resources, and prevent catastrophic change in the Earth's climate. Everyone must participate in the collective effort and it is to raise awareness of as many people as possible that I conceived the film HOME," said the film's director, Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
Available for free and in its entirety on the Internet, Home aims to raise awareness about the anthropogenic destruction of planet Earth.
Home is a beautiful film that can be viewed in the classroom and used to exemplify many lessons about the environment, the Earth and ecosystem degradation.
