Thorium Reader: the universal book reader, text or audio. Free

Particularly interesting for visually impaired and dyslexic people

To read!

Developed by the EDRLab (European Digital Reading Lab), this free reading application is constantly developing and becoming a reference for reading ePUB files, DiViNa (Digital Visual Narratives - digital comic format), audio books and even .pdf files protected by LCP (Lightweight Content Protection).

If sometimes some text files resist you or display badly, Thoriun can be the solution.

Very uncluttered, all the space is left to the books. No ads, no private data collected, the app works in French, German and English.

For the visually impaired, it supports reading services like Jaws and NVDA on Windows and Voice Over on Mac.

Version 1.4.0 can read files

  • .audiobook
  • .epub
  • .epub3
  • .lcpa
  • .lcpaudiobook
  • .lcpl
  • .lpf

Working on Windows, macOS and Linux.
Free.
