With all the residential school cases, we wonder about the fact that they were uprooted from their language as well. This is not the only example. In the case of colonization, the problem also arises. On the American continent alone, one thinks of Louisiana or Acadia. Does the imposition of a language eliminate cultural identity?

Residential Schools in Canada: Survivors' testimonies
In the summer of 2021, the discovery of bodies buried around former Canadian residential schools brought this dark page of Canadian history to light. Thousands of First Nations children were taken away from their families to lose their culture. An initiative that has left scars that are still very strong among the survivors today.
