A country like France should provide a good living for everyone who has a job. Nevertheless, the Brut team followed a young woman in her twenties who holds four jobs and very quickly finds herself overdrawn.
We might think that this is a life of luxury, and yet this dance teacher, dancer and bookstore owner only has to pay her small rent and the few bills (electricity, transportation, etc.) to be practically penniless. Thus, shopping is meager, mostly consisting of pasta. The few times her fridge was full were during visits from her mother, who realized her daughter's struggles.
