Zelexio - More than just a note
An assessment and tracking platform that helps maximize students' educational potential
Article written in part with the help of Perplexity
What is Zelexio?
Zelexio is an educational platform designed to counter school dropout, optimize teachers' working time and facilitate entry into the profession. Created by Azra Hasanefendic and Stéphanie Loiselle, both experienced teachers, Sherbrooke-based Zelexio uses artificial intelligence to help students stay in school and succeed, and is available in French and English.
The platform offers evaluation and pedagogical follow-up tools to help teachers optimize their assessment process. It also enables students and parents to track learning progress in real time. It also offers a complete portrait of the learner, integrating psychometric and emotional assessment of school-related skills.
How does it work?
In the following video, Azra Hasanefendic guides us through our first steps on the Zelexio platform. In particular, she shows us how to quickly add our courses and prepare for an assessment.
💡 Other videos are available on the Zelexio YouTube channel, including: Creating a grid (part 1 & 2), Starting an assessment, Creating your groups and adding your students...
How do I use it?
In her article Un outil pour mesurer le bien-être des ados dans les écoles for La Tribune, Delphine Belzile talks about Zelexio's Emotional Balance Sheet, a tool for measuring the well-being of young people in secondary schools (Quebec). A tool to promote learning and combat school drop-out. In her article, she discusses the impressions of the educational staff at Bromptonville high school, the first school to use the tool.
In this episode of "Jasons pédagogie numérique" for Eductive,Learning in the digital age: rethinking assessment and correction practices, Florence Sedaminou Muratet talks to Azra Hasanefendic, aka "Madame évaluation" from Zelexio. Azra's aim is to ensure that every student can realize his or her full potential throughout their school career. But to achieve this goal, it is essential to involve teachers in a thorough reflection on the fundamental principles of assessment. After all, assessment always raises a host of questions. Azra and Florence strive to provide answers to some of them.
My opinion of Zelexio's potential
The Zelexio platform embodies real potential in the field of education, offering teachers innovative tools to optimize student assessment and promote student success. I'd like to take this opportunity to salute the remarkable commitment of Azra Hasanefendic, who, through Zelexio, is fully committed to changing perceptions of school assessment.
An approach that opens up new prospects for fairer, more personalized and effective assessment, thus contributing to the fulfillment and well-being of every learner throughout their school career.
🎧 I also invite you to discover Zelexio's podcast Tous les profs en parlent avec Azra et Stéphanie, in which Azra Hasanefendic and Stéphanie Loiselle welcome education professionals to discuss a variety of topics. A program rich in emotion and exchange!
In the age of digital technology and AI, taking the initiative is becoming a central issue in learning. Between the fear of error and the desire for autonomy, it reveals a paradox: digital technology can both restrict and liberate. Rethinking education means embracing risk and valuing the learner's audacity.
When societal transformations lead us to rethink places to learn. How can we transform a space so that it is conducive to learning, so that it gives a place to everyone? What makes a place contribute to our growth and learning together?
Who hasn't heard a child or adult say that they appreciated a particular subject thanks to their teacher and his or her way of passing on knowledge? In his thesis, Jean-Michel MEYRE sets out to prove that teachers' socio-conative attitudes have a major impact on their pupils' feelings. From there, it's up to the teaching itself to motivate students to learn!
The emancipation of utopian socialists has nothing in common with today's emancipations. Mass ideology gives way to more individual embodiment and contextualization.
