Understanding robotics engineering training
What's the road ahead?
Robotics is no longer the stuff of science fiction. We live more and more with algorithms and robots, and some corners of the world even more so (like Asia, for example). Students might be very interested in robotics and dream of working in it, but not know exactly what it entails. In this video, a robotics engineering student explains her educational path.
Obviously, it's best to have a strong interest in science first and foremost, since the curriculum will be based largely on mathematics, physics, chemistry and the like. Engineering is about solving problems in different fields. During their training, they will also study law, marketing and management. Knowledge of languages is a considerable asset, because robotics engineers can be called upon anywhere. She gives the example of an internship she did in China and then in Taiwan. This meant that she had to learn Mandarin and take an interest in local cultures to better understand and adapt her approach to them.
In the second part, she explains the concepts of robots, including land and air robots. She also talks a lot about the principle of drones, their history, qualities and drawbacks, and a little about the work she's doing on a project to program a drone's route from one point to another.
There's nothing simple about being a farmer. You have to plan your activities throughout the year, make sure you have the right machinery, maintain it and so on. All with a view to ecology. A serious French game seeks to teach agroecology.
Measuring attention remains a concern in many settings. Some work tasks are not very error tolerant.
Here are a series of sample tests to measure attention in children and adults.
To a layman, music is just a tune performed by a musician. Yet, if he were to play Meludia, he would learn all the rudiments and terms associated with musical practice.
All our lives have an online component. As a result, a large proportion of Internet users are at risk of being tricked by hackers. A short game invites Internet users to remember certain elements of cybersecurity using a space theme.
How do you talk to children about genetics and heredity? A British museum has come up with the method: design a game in which you create a line of adorable creatures with precise objectives. The game is fun, colorful and easy to learn. Even adults will succumb to the charms of the bugs and their large families.
