On Octopus, researchers can publish their work in full, free of charge, for peer review and quality analysis, giving them recognition for their work and enabling the scientific community to draw inspiration from it.
Registering your work on Octopus is not the same as publishing an article. Recognized researchers with an ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) can do so directly or through their institution. The average person can't submit his or her work directly.
There are eight publication types that correspond to the research process and are designed to help researchers of all backgrounds to share their work and be recognized for it.
Anyone can read anything in Octopus: the platform is designed to make primary research accessible to all.
