Water in the city : reference site for water management

Practical, technical, legal and economic answers to questions related to drinking water and sanitation

The Water in the City website is a service of the International Office for Water to help communities.

It is intended for Établissements publics de coopération intercommunale (EPCI), mayors, local elected officials and their departments, and delegated companies.

It offers practical, technical, legal and economic answers to questions related to drinking water, collective and non-collective sanitation.

Water and its management is in increasingly important stake; we speak here about water supply, water treatment, drainage, coastline, banks, flood-prone areas, retaining structures, wetlands and we quickly overflow to agricultural, recreational, industrial uses, management of sewage sludge or lake resources between uses that multiply and compete and a growing and increasingly aquavorous population.

General information is available to all, as well as the blog; more technical information is reserved for paid subscribers.
