Numéridanse, a dance video library open to everyone

Nearly 5,000 dance clips!

Numeridanse is a website created by the Maison de la Danse de Lyon, in partnership with the Centre national de la danse and with support from the BNP Paribas Foundation.

The website features a collection of recordings of dance performances by the greatest choreographers and top dance companies.

Since 2009, the site has grown to include nearly 5,000 high-quality performance clips. The videos can be viewed in full screen and are professionally produced. They are organized by “channels”—that is, by company or performance venue, by theme, and, of course, by artist and title. The site also features recordings of full-length works.

The “pro” section is reserved for “channel” administrators, allowing them to upload their most recent videos.

The site aims to“connect users with dance,” as H. Fattoumi states in an interview. Mission accomplished: the site immerses us in the world of dance, in all its variety.
