Cultural specificities and French language teaching
Learning a language is not just about acquiring its grammar. Culture, customs, and linguistic specificities are all indispensable elements to be transmitted to learners to facilitate their integration.
Animal instant messaging
Although some animals are capable of associating symbols with meanings, there are no known examples of animals leaving written traces. Their language is essentially direct, in sound, gesture or olfactory mode. So, if we look at the instant messages we exchange, we get some idea of the kind of messages exchanged by the birds and animals that make up the soundscapes of each region.
The Swedish neutral model
If it seems unthinkable to call students by a gender-neutral pronoun, Sweden has done it. Since the late 1990s, the Scandinavian country has respected the gender identity of both adults and children. While this is not always palpable in the general population, this giant step inspires other countries to follow suit.
Potential through play
Play is necessary for everyone. Not only does it encourage creativity and knowledge through experimentation, but it is also an effective means of expressing oneself without risk, expressing one's emotions and replaying scenes from one's life. Play enables us to put into perspective the situations with which we are confronted, and to develop a better understanding of our inner world and our social environment, thereby finding or rediscovering our intrinsic abilities.
