Adapting agriculture to climate change

What to do with the changing of the seasons?

"There are no more seasons, my good lady."

You've probably heard that phrase from a farmer or anyone living in a rural area. The last few years have indeed shown powerful thermal contrasts. One of the things that climate change has done is to deregulate the jet stream, known as the "Jet Stream". Indeed, this sinuous current generally kept the cold in the polar sphere. Now, with warming, its ripples are accentuated, causing many problems for European farmers.

So, mild periods will be followed by unusual coolness, for example, as in early April 2021. So what to do? Some people smoke the fields at the coming of a cold spell or spray them with water because even if it freezes, it retains heat for the buds. And what about the more frequent heat waves than ever? Some farmers will choose different varieties that are a little more resistant and by diversifying the species grown, the risk of total loss is less for them. What if establishing living soils was the solution in order to protect against climatic hazards?
