The learning paradox
The paradox of learning has always been questioned by researchers in pedagogy. The literature is not lacking in references since Plato and the paradox of Meno on this question... Like all paradoxes, it is not a question of solving it, or even dissolving it, but rather of taking advantage of the energy it gives to those who confront it.
The basis of the teaching principle: self-regulation.
The school offers a relaxed environment, time, and a relative absence of distractions. Most programs have cut out the objectives and skills.
The only thing missing, according to this model, is the methodological goal of having learners acquire the knowledge and criteria for self-correction and self-reinforcement.
But how did they learn?
At the end of the nineteenth century, hundreds of painters attended prestigious and demanding workshops that provided academic knowledge. It was difficult to enter, they worked hard, and they left with an impressive knowledge. No mistake in drapery, anatomy, perspective, composition. Teachers go in search of 150 year old teaching methods.
Regularity and creativity: two incompatible concepts?
Creativity and regularity are not very compatible concepts, since the former refers to the ability to innovate, to step out of one's comfort zone, while the latter refers more to routine constancy in a field. However, it seems plausible to consider regularity as a pivotal step towards creativity.
