We've all visited places locally or while traveling that we recommend to anyone we know. Whether it's museums, restaurants, bars or anything else, we keep a kind of personal notebook of favorite addresses. But what if we could keep it, and even share it with friends and family? That's what Mapstr offers, a free application available on Web browsers, Android and Apple.
An interactive address book to share
After free registration, users can start entering addresses they like, wherever they are in the world. Did a store in Brussels make a good impression on you? A restaurant in Lyon or Montreal seems a must? Simply enter it, select the type of establishment and save. It will be possible to create thematic lists to help yourself or to share with friends.
As for other subscribers to the application, their address book will be available to all if they have made it public. By clicking on a place suggested by another person, it will be possible to find out the type of establishment, the user's comments, whether it's open at the moment or not, the route to get there, the website if they have one, or even the number to call directly for information or reservations. A great collective approach to sharing places in big cities and small hamlets that are worth getting to know.
