What could be better than seeing and hearing to understand the atmosphere inside the ISS?
The International Space Station (ISS) is a place that very few humans will ever get to visit. To give us an idea, European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Pesquet took Google Street View photos of the ISS during his first mission in space.
We can discover the space station as if we were there, and explore its various modules.
- The ISS tour on the Ovh site includes explanations and reference links, as well as sound. Your system or device may not be able to display everything.
The experience of life in weightlessness
In any case, there are several impressions to be gained from this visit, not least the "haphazard" aspect and the feeling of disorientation. It's a far cry from the ships of StarTrek, and much closer to today's submarines.
We also understand the level of training required of astronauts to handle all the equipment in the modules. What to do in the event of a breakdown, fire or leak? How to sleep, eat, wash clothes, go to the toilet? How do we operate or store this or that machine? How do we tell others our needs and understand theirs?
Even if we probably won't be fluent in space, we can certainly play "as if". like in the movie "Viking".
