Fred T. Hofstetter "Internet Literacy"

Countless publications have been criticized for the disparity between information for the rich and the poor.

Fred T. Hofstetter's new book "Internet Literacy", a guide to using the Internet, illustrates this;

Hofstetter explains: "Because the Net doesn't allow us to see racial differences, such as age, sex, or physical handicap, there's no room for discrimination. Except, perhaps, towards the unconnected, because in an information society, to be cut off from the Internet is to lose many privileges".
