Getting organized isn't always easy. We often have a thousand tasks and project ideas in mind, but they get in the way, we end up forgetting some, have difficulty prioritizing and find ourselves frustrated most of the time.
The more organized among us already know the value of to-do lists. Todoist, which plays on the name, is an electronic version accessible to the general public, work organizations and schools alike.
The application, available in several languages (see list at bottom of page), is easy to use. The idea is to create different lists according to projects and occupations, and to put on each tooltip the due date if there is one, the priority, a task description and reminders so as not to forget to complete them.
It will be possible to add keywords to filter chores by type and focus on one type, for example. Once the user has done what was requested, he or she can click on the small achievement circle. What's more, the application highlights daily achievements with video-game-style successes. However, this approach is only very light, and not at all the core of the program.
The software, which is also available in a mobile and browser version, offers various extensions for working with different e-mail and other programs; these features are even more interesting in a professional context, for example, if you want to go straight to writing a scheduled message in your tasks.
The free version of Todoist lets you control up to 5 projects, have 3 filtered views and 1 week of activity history. Paid accounts can have from 300 to 500 simultaneous projects, over 150 filtered views, unlimited history and a calendar view of tasks.
