Can artificial intelligence do everything? It seems that few fields are immune to them. Even those related to creativity are being hit hard by the high-speed improvement of algorithms. This includes architecture, which once relied mainly on the architect's imagination. Now, with just a few clicks, AIs can create ideas for the buildings and cities of the future.

Tim Fu, one of the pioneers in this field, sees all the possibilities that artificial intelligence could bring to the field in the coming years. Already, he points out that algorithms are designing cities that take into account a return to nature. Buildings integrate vegetation or recycle materials from the oceans or old structures.

The question of eco-responsibility really does lie at the heart of future architectural design. While some believe that humans will be able to do this on their own, computer technology could help predict, for example, the speed of tree growth or the number of plants needed to make a project viable.

Will we have to deal with artificial intelligence in architecture? Quite possibly, despite the fears of young architects that the machine will surpass their abilities in many respects.
