Laboratory meat: the future of food?

Will the end of slaughterhouses come in the near future?

A large number of farmers make their living from raising livestock such as beef, pork and poultry. Meat consumption is constantly increasing worldwide, especially in developing countries. However, on an environmental level, this meat production is extremely harmful and polluting. Not to mention the ethical problems caused by the slaughter process.

Some people have been looking for options to produce meat without causing pain to the animals and less demanding on resources. More and more laboratories are working on designing meat products using stem cells from different species. A solution that could give hope to those who want to consume ethical meat.
