Valuing Teachers: Four Easy Pieces
Valuing is achieved through actions and commitments that translate into action. These actions demonstrate that value is being placed. Four easy ways, that don't necessarily cost a lot of money but direct action, create an atmosphere, make life easier and allow everyone to participate.
Then we're talking about a very nice job, teaching.
Learning and teaching art digitally
It would be easy to believe that the art of drawing requires paper and that art classes can only be taken in person. However, the pandemic has shown that creativity is not hampered by distance. Teachers have found effective methods and Internet users can even learn by themselves thanks to software and multiple tutorials available online.
Promoting agricultural education
Guidance departments try to encourage young people to choose fields that need people, such as computer science, engineering or the medical sector. However, it overlooks the entire agricultural education system that is looking for manpower. Especially since this school system is at the forefront of subjects such as the ecological transition.
Virtual reality, a new way for storytelling
Virtual reality offers the chance to immerse oneself in different real or fictional places. This technology will have many uses in the future, but storytelling could be one of the approaches that will change the most with it. From short stories to hard-hitting journalistic documentaries, more and more stories will benefit from 360-degree immersion, especially with the democratization of cameras.
Why are my students so excited?
Small humans are best known for being full of energy. Adults often put up with toddlers' energetic outbursts by blowing their noses. It can be tempting to quickly put the child back in order, to try to calm him down on the spot. But this strategy usually proves unproductive.
