Thinglink is a web-based platform that allows you to make images or videos interactive by adding text, video and links to web pages. Enough to imagine a multitude of educational applications for the classroom by creating interactive, attractive and engaging content.
In the following short tutorial, Maude Labonté (RECIT social universe) introduces us to the basic functions of the Thinglink application.
N.B.: You can also find a tutorial of the free Android mobile app Thinglink made by Johann Nallet.
In this video tutorial, Johann Nallet shows us how to create real routes in 3D views from Google Maps / Street View with clickable bullets very rich in information (texts, photos, videos, quiz, sound ...). Routes that can be viewed on computer, tablet, smartphone or with VR glasses.
He also offers us some examples produced by Jordi Colomer, a history-geography-EMC teacher, with augmented images and maps of 3D views:
The laboratory of socio-educational uses of digital technology of the CNAM, offers us several examples of uses in training of the Thinglink application:
We are also offered examples of achievements:
Using Thinglink in the classroom is a great way to create course materials with interactive and engaging content. The platform (in French) makes it fairly easy to turn any image (or video) into an amazing multimedia resource by adding text, video and links to web pages.
We should also note in passing the recent possibility of being able to create scenarios with branches. This makes it possible to create personalized learning experiences with non-linear scenarios and virtual simulations based on real environments. A multitude of pedagogical applications in the classroom or in training are therefore possible.
