Getting fit has become a necessity in a world where we are all becoming a little more sedentary by necessity. So it's time to get up from your desk or workstation and get moving. Of all physical activities, running is the "simplest", requiring almost nothing other than a good pair of shoes. But getting started is demanding, and it's easy to get discouraged. If the cardiovascular system has not been put to much use in recent years, this can become problematic.
A free application on Android and Apple is aimed at this segment of the population who are starting or returning to running. The app will ask the user's height and weight and adapt its programs accordingly. For example, beginners will start with twenty-minute programs, perhaps running for 6 or 7 minutes at most at the beginning. This program should be carried out at least 3 times a week over a 4-week period. Gradually, the exercises proposed will be progressively more intense. The same applies to programs for running 30, 40 or 60 minutes in a session.
Ideally, users will run with wireless headphones and listen to notifications telling them when to run and when to walk. No need to worry about speed or mileage. The app will record them, but the idea is mainly, initially, to get into action. Eventually, users will be able to set themselves distance and speed challenges. In fact, those taking out the paid version will have access to all the statistics and even more personalized training for their level. In the meantime, the free version gives you a good start to running in your neighborhood, park, etc.
