Christian Élongué

Consultant in Knowledge Management, eLearning and Cultural Industries

Christian Elongué is a teacher and consultant in eLearning, Knowledge Management and digital technologies.

He has nearly 10 years of experience in the higher education and distance learning sector in Africa, having taught, via APC, Rhetoric, Stylistics courses to Bachelor and Master students at the University of Dschang (2013-2015).

He is the founder of Apprendre Pour Comprendre (APC), a university training center that has trained a thousand students for university exams and national competitions. His 3rd Master's degree, obtained at the University of Lille 1 (France) was in "Multimedia Pedagogical Engineering - Research on Adult Education (IPM-RFA)".

As President and Senior Consultant of KabodGroup (KG), he developed online courses and advised several international organizations on their eLearning and corporate talent development strategies. He currently advises the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) on its knowledge management programs with Ministries of Education in 54 African countries.

To date, Christian has organized, trained and coached over 400 professionals and managers in Knowledge Management, Blogging, Gamification, Productivity, Social Entrepreneurship, etc. His latest online course, which he led from start to finish, was sponsored by the Wilden Ganzen Foundation of Germany and the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) and is freely available here. He is also an eLearning consultant for the Austrian organization Common Sense eLearning and Training Consultant, where he has facilitated and managed eLearning or distance learning programs for the African Union, CGIAR, GIZ, World Bank etc.

Prior to being President of the International Network for the Promotion of the Art of Oratory (RIPAO), he was an instructor, debate judge and consultant in creative leadership and digital communication. As a trainer of trainers for the World Debate Institute (USA) since 2013, he has trained at least 700 debaters in Africa and Europe, and has served on evaluation panels for Ashoka, Total Energies, Future Africa Fellowship programs and co-authored the "Guide de préparation orale : Ma thèse en 180s" for the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF)

 As an author and researcher, he is a pioneer in research on video games in Africa and in research on African youth publishing. He is an Expert of the Erasmus Expertise Network and an invited speaker by organizations such as UNESCO, eLearning Africa, MGIEP (Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development), United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY) etc., to present his research on serious games, citizen activism and digital humanities.

A social entrepreneur, he is the founder of several pan-African initiatives (Muna Kalati, Learn To Understand, African Youth Academy, African Mentorship Academy...) that work to transform Africa through education and technology. A servant and open-minded leader, he is always willing to share his experiences, thus assuming the role of Mentor for the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP), Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), African Changemaker Fellowship etc.

A lover of knowledge, he holds three Masters degrees in Cultural Industries Management (Senghor University, Egypt), eLearning and Adult Education (University of Lille, France) and African Studies (University of Dschang, Cameroon), with more than 43 international certifications from universities around the world. Resilience, creativity and innovation are his mantras.
