A public research institution of a scientific and technological nature under the dual supervision of the ministries in charge of research and industry, Inria, created in 1967, has the mission of producing research of excellence in the computer science and mathematical fields of the digital sciences and guaranteeing the impact of this research.
Inria covers the entire spectrum of research at the heart of these fields of activity, and intervenes on questions, related to digital technology, posed by other sciences and by economic and societal actors.
Inria's 168 project-teams, bringing together 1677 researchers from the institute and 1772 academics or researchers from other organizations, invent tomorrow's digital technologies, in close partnerships with public and private research players in France and abroad.
They are behind the creation of more than 110 start-ups.
